Facts and Statistics
- We are located in Bloomington, Minnesota, minutes from the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport and the Mall of America. Bloomington has won numerous financial and civic awards, both statewide and nationally for being an exceptional community.
- Our beautiful campus is in a suburban location, but we are only a short drive from the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, with all of the benefits and conveniences of a major urban area.
- Bethany College of Missions is a member of the National Association of Evangelicals, the IFMA and the EFMA, and has been in existence since 1949.
- We are an interdenominational college, attracting students and staff from many different evangelical denominational backgrounds.
- Bethany College of Missions currently enrolls between 50 and 70 new students each fall.
- The student population on the campus of the college ranges from 110 to 160. There is always a group of interns overseas, which brings the total student population during any given year to 140 to 200.
- The faculty student ratio is 23:1
- The student body consists of approximately 60% women and 40% men.
- The average age of a Bethany student is 23. The largest age grouping in the college is the 18-22 year-olds. Our student body ranges in age from 18-50.
- We have a diverse student population of singles, married students, and families: students fresh out of high school and empty-nesters who have years of ministry experience. We welcome all ethnicities, and enroll approximately 10% of each incoming class from countries outside of the Western world.
- The majority of students are enrolled in the B.A. program with approximately 2/3 of the student body in the this course of study, and 1/3 in a certificate program.
- Most of our students heard about Bethany through a personal referral or through the internet.
- According to our latest survey, 60% of our graduates serve in missions in some capacity following Bethany, with 40% serving as full-time, long-term missionaries.
- Bethany graduates serve all over the world with many different mission agencies, doing a wide variety of cross-cultural ministry. Some of these ministries include church-planting, evangelism, discipleship, Bible and missions schools, literacy work, TESOL, children’s ministry and orphanage work, relief and development, medical missions, urban evangelism, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, work among immigrants and refugees and more!
