About Us

Core Values

Whole-Hearted Friendship with Christ

Because of Christ's radical commitment to us, our joyful and appropriate response is one of loving God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. As we abide in His presence and behold His beauty, we delight His heart and are transformed into His likeness. This is expressed individually and corporately in a lifestyle of obedience to God’s Word, holiness and self-giving love. It involves reverent listening and walking in the fullness of the Spirit.

(see Psalm 37:4, 2 Corinthians 3:18, Hebrews 2:2, Romans 6-8)

Developing People in Growing Relationships

We want to build grace-filled environments that enable organizational accomplishment and strong relationships. We desire to do the work God has called us to in a way that helps people grow in Christ-likeness, service and professional skills. We nurture true community—vital relationships that minister life and grace into its members as we participate together in the fellowship of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

(see Matthew 5:3-10, Romans 8:29-30, Ephesians 4:15-16, Colossians 1:28-29)

Obeying Christ's Great Commission & Commandment

Jesus commanded His church “to love your neighbors as yourselves” and “to go and make disciples of all nations.” We are committed to the costly mandate of taking this gospel to the least-reached people around the globe. Our commitment is to bring them into a relationship with Christ and a life of obedience to His Word, resulting in the multiplication of believers who are gathered into reproducing churches. We are pilgrim people, always learning, always growing, and always advancing.

(see Matthew 22:18-20, 3; Luke 11:2; Revelation 7:9)

Partnering and Teamwork within the Global Church

We lead, work and minister in teams. Learning from others and sharing with others is essential. We collaborate with individuals, local churches, denominations and other organizations across a wide spectrum of the Body of Christ around the world. Our work with others is done in ways that bring the greatest value to the Kingdom of God whether or not Bethany receives the credit.

(see John 17:20-23, Luke 10:1- 2, Romans 12:4-6, Philippians 2:2-5)

Faith-Filled Enterprise and Excellence in All We Do

Bold faith and hard work continue to shape Bethany. Intercessory worship and laboring with all our hearts are complementary. We are stewards of the resources God gives to us. In dependency on Him, we strategically invest and seek to multiply these resources to extend His kingdom. Work with excellence is an act of worship to the Lord Christ whom we serve. This means taking up our cross daily and the many little deaths of going beyond ourselves.

(see Nehemiah 4:6, 14; Ephesians 6:7-8; Colossians 3:23-24; Hebrews 11:6)
