God Gives Me Value

We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10) When I feel useless, hopeless, helpless, worthless; rejected, unprotected, disconnected; when I make mistakes, get bad breaks, wonder what difference my life makes—I think on these things:
God is my creator. He gives me eternal value. My value comes from God. Not from my appearance, strength, intelligence, popularity, possessions, position, goodness, or ability. I am made in God's image. I am valuable to Him. He cares for me, invests in me, believes in me.
Jesus is my redeemer. He defines and preserves my value. Jesus loves me as I am. He loves me too much to leave me as I am! I sometimes fail, but that does not reduce my worth. God treasures me so much that He sent Jesus for me. He gave His life to save me, redeem me, renew me, and use me. He makes my value endure.
I am in Christ. Christ is in me. He is my supreme value. I accepted Him. He accepted me. I am forgiven. My life is changed. I am one with Christ. My old life died with Him. A new life began with Him. I am dead to sin and alive to God. He lives in me. I live in Him. I am united to Him—complete and victorious in Him.
God has plans for my life. He makes my life of useful value. He has prepared me to do good works and has prepared good works for me to do. He will not give up on His plans. He will not give up on me. He will finish the good work He began in me. I can do His will— all my life long—and finish the work he gave me to do.
I trust in God and seek to reflect the value He places on me. God blesses me, sustains me, gives me hope, and a future. Nothing separates me from His love—not death, life, angels, demons; past, present, future; powers, height, depth—nothing! My life is in His hands. He is always with me to help me and guide me. He deserves all my love and dedication. I will give Him all my life.
