Bethany has been blessed with missions-minded and Biblically-centered teachers, seasoned missionaries, and leadership. If you are interested in having someone speak at your church, organization or gathering, please let us know.

Here is a brief list and bios of some of our speakers:

Dan Brokke, President, Bethany International

Dan is President of the Bethany International, a leader in mission training. His life demonstrates not only passion and commitment to raise up workers, but also a genuine desire to serve. We live in days of unprecedented opportunity for the Gospel around the world. For those who wonder what one person can do to get involved and make a difference, Bethany has always been about helping the individual believer and local church engage in fulfilling the Great Commission.

Ed Dudek, Bible and Theology Professor

Ed is a teacher at heart, dedicated to helping believers discover victory on the journey to an overcoming life. He speaks and ministers internationally on the Victorious Christian Life. As a Bible and theology professor at Bethany College of Missions, Bloomington, MN, and Bethany International University, Singapore, his recently published book O God, If I Could Just Be Holy-Living the Spirit-filled Life: Its Crisis and Process, has been published in three languages.

Paul Hartford, Director of Global Internship

Paul F. Hartford provides leadership for the Global Internship program for intercultural learning in BCOM’s missions training program. He is a pioneer and champion for field-based experiential learning. A PhD candidate in Adult and Continuing Education, he holds an MA in Intercultural Studies. He formerly served as a missionary in the Philippines and as Director of Bethany College of Missions. He passionately and articulately shares on the challenge for missions: “Becoming Intercultural,” “Creating Community,” and “The Kingdom Comes.”

Waylon Clemmons, Coordinator of Mobilization

It is safe to say that Waylon has an intense passion for the Word of God and for that Word to be taught and lived in truth. He is a mobilizer, preaching the Kingdom of God and challenging students in churches, youth groups, schools, and colleges to live out their faith—what following Jesus in this hour means. That devotion requires us to embrace Christ and find out what the King is doing on this earth and giving our lives to partner with Him. Waylon is 28-years-old and has been preaching and teaching since 2001, presenting a call to repent from living for self and to actively live your faith both here in the US and around the world. Jesus has led Waylon all over the world carrying the conviction that it is the “truth” that will set men and women free (John 8:32) and spread the vision to advance God’s Kingdom. Waylon is supported and partnered in ministry and life with his beautiful wife Natalie and their wonderful son, Judah Daniel.

John Kayser, Missions Training Advocate

John was born and raised in Ethiopia during a time of tremendous growth in the church. He then served in Ethiopia with SIM during the Communist revolution and another great wave of church growth. Later he taught and administered at Prairie Bible Institute for 17 years and then served with Bethany School of Missions in Singapore for 3 years, developing the training of missionary trainers program. Since 1997, John has been a consultant and trainer for the development of missionary training schools around the world with Bethany International. He is a visionary and a practitioner. His passion and message is to see the multiplication of missions training among national churches, stirring up a missions challenge to the church and confronting the conflict on the front lines of church extension.

Tom Shetler, Bible and Theology Professor

A current Bethany College of Missions professor and online trainer for Bethany’s new online Masters’ program, Tom’s areas of specialty are in the Old Testament, Hermeneutics, Church and Missions History, Major World Religions and Apologetics. He offers seminars on these topics; his newest seminar is called “Why Belief Matters” based on his book, Can We Know? Answering the God Question.

George Foster, International Pastor

George served with Bethany in Brazil for twenty-five years, followed by several years coordinating Bethany’s work in South America and Europe. He now provides pastoral care to strengthen and encourage missionaries around the world. His work with missionaries often opens doors to preaching and teaching at conferences in many countries. His books include: Amazing Peace in Troubled Times and The Healing Power of Forgiveness. In addition, he has written booklets that are available in eleven languages. Audiences appreciate his humor, compassion and inspiring story telling.
