New Partnership with Africa School of Missions in South Africa
Bethany International has recently formed a partnership with Africa School of Missions (ASM) in White River, South Africa. ASM seeks to equip its students for excellence in global ministry. Since 1985, they have endeavored to meet this need through a training program with a practical approach that emphasizes training not just the head but also the heart and hands for service.
Because of Bethany’s and ASM’s similar vision in their approach to training and sending missionaries, they recently formed a partnership that has aligned with Bethany’s GO100 vision. Global Outfitting100 (GO100) is a plan to launch and outfit 100 national missionary training and sending schools to focus on the world’s least-reached people by the year 2012. ASM will therefore become one of the regional base centers around the world for the GO100 schools.
The director of the school, Geoff Malan, has an incredible story and passion for the Lord, and he is excited to partner with Bethany. ASM opened during a time of apartheid in South Africa, and in the midst of that time and beyond, ASM has continued to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. Today they represent 15-20 ethnic groups and their graduates serve in 43 different nations.
It is our prayer at Bethany International that we can continue to partner with ASM and many other national schools and churches to spread the love of Jesus Christ, breaking through barriers and reaching the unreached of this world.
